Description

  • The Central Florida Anthropological Society represents Orange, Seminole, Osceola and Lake Counties.
CFAS was established in 1963 as a non-profit organization dedicated to the appreciation, study and preservation of Florida’s pre-Columbian, historic and contemporary cultural heritage. CFAS is a chapter of the Florida Anthropological Society. Our membership is open to people of all ages and backgrounds including students, professionals, volunteers and the community-at-large.
Meetings are held on the third Monday of the month from September through June in the Community Room on the first floor at the Winter Park Public Library, 460 E. Old New England Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32789. Doors will be open at 6:30pm for light refreshments. Presentations begin promptly at 7pm. They are always free and open to the public!
We welcome members of the Greater Orlando community who have a general interest in anthropology, archeology, and/or local history and culture.
